VAAM CAMP
It's time to get the band back together.
The reading rehearsal was great, now it's time to get into all the details that make a band sound great. The camp is at John Champe High School, 41535 Sacred Mountain Street, Aldie VA on June 30th - July 3rd.
For rehearsal please come ten minutes early with your instrument (no mutes) ready to rehearse. We will start with a nice long warm up because we will be playing a lot. After the warmup, we will then go to sectionals then back to full band.
Lunch is not provided so please bring your lunch. Also there are no great options near Champe. So bring a sack lunch.
We will distribute uniforms on June 30th the last part of the day.

Audition material is available
In order to sound good, every great band must have every part played. We do the seating audition so that we can make sure that every part is covered and every player has a part that they can play. February 1st there will be a button that directs you to your audition material. Don't worry! This is for seating purposes only; everyone who is signed up for this great trip is going to go.

MCI Payment Due
Music Celebrations is working hard for us. We have scheduled the payments so that we can get the most out of their service.
MARCH 1
Uniform and Camp Payments store Opens
We want to look sharp and sound great. In order to do that we need a uniform look and we need to have rehearsals to learn to play together as a band. On March 1st the store will open and you can order your uniforms, which consists of two polos and two t-shirts. You may also pay your camp fees. Adults are not required to have a uniform, however many adults traveling with us do purchase a polo and a t-shirt. Adults do not have to pay the camp fee.
APRIL 1, 2023
Audition recordings due
Our sectional coaches need time to listen to all of the recordings and put our band in the correct order. Please get your audition material uploaded by April 1st (no foolin').
APRIL 7, 2023
Store closes
We need to close the store and place the order for our uniforms.
APRIL 15, 2023
Final payment is due to MCI
Paying the last payment locks in a great adventure.
MAY 7, 2023
Reading session
Rehearsal starts at 1 PM at John Champe High School. This is the first time that our band will actually sound like a band. Along with rehearsal we will have a Question and Answer session for the parents.

Music camp
Music camp is where we learn how to play together, but more importantly how we can have the best time in the world with our new friends.

Depart For Europe
The time is finally here! We leave Washington Dulles for Paris and our great adventure begins. You may click the link below for the itinerary. Some details may change slightly as we get closer to departure. However the dates of where we are going to be will not change.
