HOW DID I GET CHOSEN?
We chose only a select group of directors to nominate students for this once in a lifetime experience. They in turn select the students who who be a good match for our program. Congratulations! You are the best of the best.
WHAT DO YOU DO WITH PERSONAL INFORMATION?
The short answer is: we email you important information. The long answer is: We never do anything (other than email you) with it. We don't know how to sell personal information and we are unwilling to learn that skill. After each travel cycle, we erase everything to make space on our computer for the next set of VaAMers.
WHAT ABOUT SPECIAL DIETS?
We are in favor of everyone being well fed and happy. So if you have specific dietary needs, just let ETA know when you fill out your information while signing up. We will do our best to make sure you get the diet that you need.
WHERE IS ALL THE FINE PRINT?
You want to know exactly what you are getting into. We want you to know that too. The Virginia Ambassadors of Music endeavors to be as transparent as we can possibly be.

CAN MY CHILD FEEL SAFE BEING AWAY FOR TWO WEEKS?
We want everyone to feel safe and accepted while traveling with us. We will do our best to make sure that happens. VaAMers in the past have traveled well together and this is not an issue because we only invite students who are the best of the best. That includes the way we treat each other. Respect is in every part of what we do.
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE?
The minimum age is 15 by June of 2027. Technically the maximum age is 21 to travel as a student. However, we only take seniors who have just graduated. So in essence, the maximum age is 18 unless there are specific special circumstances. Just contact us if you need further information.
There is no maximum age for traveling on this trip, as long as you keep in mind that this is a trip built for teenagers. If you are a teenager at heart, please see the section below on adult participation.
WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO SIGN UP?
The deadline to join is June 1st, 2026.
WHERE IS THE ADULT PARTICIPANT FORM
Parents and grandparents are welcomed to go with us however the adults have rules to follow, just like students. You are on vacation; leave the chaperoning duties to us! Understand that this trip is designed for teen-agers. We walk a lot and the trip is set to a very quick pace. Every adult has to have a background check.
